Dream it!!!

Hi There! The latest stamps from Bee Crafty are so gorgeous I just can't put them away! Thought I would show you how I made this card today.

I began by swiping the dinkables with distress oxide inks and misting them with water before laying then=m onto a piece of mixed media paper.
I smooshed the excess ink onto the background over the dinkable prints.
Using some of the worker stamps I added some stamping to the background using the same inks.
On a separate piece of card, I stamped the flower and a couple of leaves and cut them out, colouring with ecoline pens.
Using the Gelly Roll Moonlight pens I added a few highlights to the flower and the background.

On another scrap of card, I stamped the sentiment in black Versafine Clair and cut it out.
Finally, I attached the background to the base card, then added the flower, leaves and sentiment using 3d glue.
I used:
5x5" square card
Distress oxide inks in Crackling campfire and uncharted Mariner
Ecoline pens
3d glue gel

New Bee Crafty stamps and D'inkables samples

Hi There! Did you see the new stamps and dinkables from Bee Crafty launched yesterday? Here are the samples I made with them. For the first I used distress oxide inks in crackling campfire and uncharted mariner.
My second sample used resist technique using clear embossing over a distress oxide background.
My Hey Sunshine card was made by smooshing some mixed media card, then adding to the background with stamps and the new dinkables. The flowers were stamped onto watercolour card and coloured using ecoline pens.
This concertina card was made with Distress oxide sprays, texture paste and watercoloured flowers.
This is a simple single layer card with leaves and sentiment heat embossed in copper.
I decided to use autumn colours to stamp the leaves, masking off a strip using tape, that was then used to stamp the sentiment.

Finally here is the card I made during my live yesterday
You can find the bundle here but only for today.

The new stamps and inkables are:

Journaling Essentials #4

Journaling Essentials #5

D'inkables set 13

Thanks for looking! I hope you can join me live at 8pm over on the Bee Crafty Facebook page.

Spring flowers

Hi There! I am here with a bit of spring colour to brighten your day. Here is how I made it.

I began by blending distress oxide through the Grande inkable onto a 15x15cm ivory base card.
On a 9cm square of ivory card I stamped the stems and buds from Journaling essentials #3 along with some leaves on a scrap of the same card, colouring them in with an ecoline pen and cutting out the leaves.
I added some background stamping from the same set to the square using distress oxide inks
I stamped and cut out three of the bells. I also stamped these onto the main panel where the cut outs were to be stuck on so I didn't need to tackle cutting out the stamens.
Finally I matted and layered the square onto the card, adding the leaves and flowers with a little 3d glue gel.
Here is the finished card again
I used:
15x15cm ivory card
Inkables Grande - squircles
Distress oxide inks - I used picked Raspberry, Crackling Campfire, mustard seed, lucky clover, peacock feathers and wilted violet
9x9cm of ivory card
Versafine Clair ink - I used green oasis and glamorous
Green ecoline pen
3d glue gel
card for matting and layering

My Favourites

Hi There! Our new challenge over in the Bee Crafty Stamps facebook group is to show us your favourites, so I thought I would use my favourite colours, favourite stamps and favourite inkables to create a journal page. Here's how I did it.

I began by painting waves of my favourite colours of acrylic paint across both pages.
Next I added some white gesso with a stencil brush through the Bakewell big one inkable.
Using Tag inkables set #1 I added some black gesso with a stencil brush.
I decided it needed lifting a bit so added a little gilding wax to the black gesso.
Next I stamped one of the doodle art mandalas using versamark ink and embossed in gold embossing powder.

On a separate piece of card I stamped the sunflower in Black versafine Clair ink, Cut it out and coloured with ecoline markers.
I also cut out words and circles from the latest releases of transparencies and attached to the page with matte medium. Finally, I added a simple border using Gelly Roll pens and some white splatters.
Here is the finished page again.
I used:
Dylusions mini Journal
Acrylic paint - I used a mixture of Dina Wakley and Dylusions
White gesso
versamark ink
Gilding wax
Ecoline pens
Transparencies - I used Beautiful and Brave words and Journal Circles 1

I hope this has given you some inspiration to enter the challenge!

Who can resist a rainbow?

Hi There! Thought I would have a little play with one of my favourite stamps of the moment and make a simple card using emboss resist.

I began by blending distress ink across a piece of smooth white card. I used crackling campfire, mustard seed, peacock feathers, blueprint sketch and villainous potion.
once this was totally dry I gave it a wipe with an antistatic bag, then stamped the leaves in versamark ink and heat embossed using clear embossing powder.
I let this cool for a few seconds then sponged black soot distress oxide ink over the top, wiping over with a dry cloth to reveal the embossed areas.
On a scrap of black card I stamped the sentiment in versamark ink and embossed using white embossing powder.
Finally I matted and layered the rainbow panel and the sentiment to a 13x18cm card.

I used:
A 7.5x13cm piece of smooth white card
Distress inks in crackling campfire, mustard seed, peacock feathers, blueprint sketch and villainous potion
paper for matting and layering
13x18cm card blank
Versamark ink

Tomorrow is the last day of the current 'white Space' challenge over in the bee Crafty Stamps group, so you still have time to enter.
There is also the #beecraftydeck2024 challenge where this week's prompt is 'rainbow'.

A butterfly for you

Hi There! I am here with another step by step for a simple card with white space (which is the current theme of the challenge over on the Bee Crafty Stamps group)

I began by masking off the central third of the square of smooth card with sticky notes
I then placed the Bakewell big one inkable over the card and blended approximately two thirds across the top with peacock Feathers and the bottom with Wilted Violet
I removed the inkable and the sticky note and added some kitsch flamingo through Mandala #1 inkable.
On a scrap of mixed media card I stamped the doodle art butterfly (plus a few extras to colour in and add to the fodder box) in black Versafine Clair.
I also stamped the butterfly onto the background.
I cut out and coloured the butterfly using ecoline markers, adding a few highlights with a white gel pen
Finally I added the butterfly, background and a stamped sentiment to the front of a 6" square card with a purple mat.
Here is the finished card once more.
I used:
5.5" square smooth white card
Sticky notes
Distress oxide inks in Peacock Feathers, Wilted Violet and Kitsch Flamingo
Ecoline markers
White gel pen
6x6" blank card

I do hope you can join in the challenge over in the facebook group! I will be live at 8pm this evening over on the Bee Crafty Page too.

Favourite colours and stamps

Hi There! What do you do when your mojo is on holiday? I get out my favourite colours and favourite stamps and just have a play. This card was the result of just such a play.

I began by painting a piece of watercolour paper with laidback lilac, blue lagoon and fresh lime dylusions paint using a wet brush and blending the edges together
Once this was dry, I painted white gesso through the Circles Big one inkable using a stencil brush. This too was left to dry.
I used the Mandala stamps to add to the background, stamping in Versafine Clair Summer Breeze and embossing with clear embossing powder.
I matted and layered this onto a White A5 card.
On a piece of mixed media card I stamped the sunflower, using versafine Clair, and coloured it with Ecoline markers before cutting out.
I attached this to the background using ultra thick gel medium.
on a scrap of card I stamped the sentiment from mixed messages 1 and sponged a little ink around the edge, shaping the ends of the strip.
Here is the finished card again.
I used:
Dylusions paint in Laidback Lilac, Blue Lagoon and Fresh Lime
White gesso
Versafine Clair in Summer Breeze, Nocturne and Monarch
Ecoline markers
Ultra Thick gel medium

I really enjoyed making this card and it certainly helped to find my mojo again.
